the foundation: a prayer

start with soil. sift & mix. fertile. dark. chocolate.
the foundation is made of pink & green stones. teardrop shapes, each the size of a human head; emeralds & rose quartz. serpentine. malachite. rubies. garnets. the point of each one draws light, deflects the colors into a prism.
fertility & wealth. longevity.
this is where we will place the bed. this is where love will be made. & daughters. this is where the thread of time spools on, becoming eternal as love. as god.
surrounded by trees. lulled to sleep by their whispers. a breath of blessings washes over our embracing bodies. this house built of intentions & words. acts divine, bringing all the substance of the Universe into the space between our hands, our lips, our eyes.
exhale the disbelief. the doubt. now is the time to believe. to rejoice.
to give thanks.
